Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge # 20: Submission AT LAST!

Well, this challenge was posted originally on the 8th November 2011.... and I have only done it today. Whoops! I havent stuck to the original colours we were supposed to use, but I'm sure Adele and Rachael won't mind. I have fallen in love with the new DSP in the Summer Mini called Spice Cake. Such gorgeous colours and I have used it on this layout.

Here is a reminder of the layout by Becky Flek:

And here is my layout:

I can't wait to get my photos printed and add it to my 2012 album.

Scrap Club 4

It's time to put my scrapbooking hat back on after Christmas and New Year!! This Thursday night is Scrap Club 4 and we are scrapping our Christmas photos using the papers 'Letters To Santa'. I have made 2 double page layouts, with the option of doing 1 or 2 (depending on whether you're up for a long night or not!).
For layout 1 you will need your Santa photo and a photo of your Christmas tree (or another Christmas photo of your liking). Make sure the photos are the same size, either 6 x 8's or 5 x 7's.

Layout 2 I created to mount your Christmas day photos on. My layout will take 8 trimmed photos, but it is really quite open to how many go on there.  There is a bit of work in this one, creating the stockings, but they are really cute.

Can't wait to see you all on Thursday night girls.

Ribbon Organiser

Adele and Rach, this post is for you! I took my gift voucher into Kikki K today and look what I found: these cute cute little clothes hangers in a jar.
I have now sorted all my ribbon odds 'n sods. I still have my reels of ribbons, but this now stores all my left over bits n pieces and makes them very accessible!
I have just hung the little coat hangers over a pants hanger and now it's hanging on my paper door. Shame the rest of my craft room isnt that organised!!

Butterfly Shadow Box

I fell in love with this idea back at the Stampin' Up Regionals in September and after finally finding the shadow boxes I have created my first butterfly shadow box.
I have made the butterflies using Stampin' Up's! Flirtatious Speciality paper and cut them out using the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. My mum has decided to make my daughter (6) a handmade quilt, so I couldn't get the matching Flirtatious Designer Fabric cut up into butterflies fast enough, so we could co-ordinate her room.
The shadow box should not have taken me very long at all, but my Physie teacher Pam, gave all her ladies a button necklace that she had handmade, for Christmas and it inspired me to get all my beads out of storage. So, it just turns out I have had to bead the body and antennae on these butterflies to jazz them up a little. I'm going to make three frames in total for her room. I hope you like my first one!

Monday, 5 December 2011

This is the 1st scrap layout I have done for weeks. With Christmas approaching I have found myself so busy, not sure what I'm doing, but each day seems choc-full of something! This layout is for my Scrap Club on Thursday night.  Our daughter Mikaedy, just 6, took these photos of our son Ben at cricket on Saturday just gone. Hubby Chris finds himself out on the field umpiring each week, whilst I find myself in the scorer's seat, so I sent Mikaedy off with the camera and these are some of the photos she came back with, I am pretty impressed!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge, # 20

For Challenge Number 20, we are using another sketch by the talented Becky Fleck:-

Our Colour Combination this week is to use Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and one other colour of our choice; as well as any stamps and embellishments we wish to use.

Be sure to drop back next Monday to see what Adele, Rachael and I come up with.
