Scrap Club 4

There are so many lovely kits and extra tools coming out in the new Stampin' Up! mini catalogue, so I have chosen to utilise them in the next two scrap clubs.

The kit I have chosen for Scrap Club 4 is called the Springtime Garland Simply Created Banner Kit. It is a banner kit, but instead of making it to hang around the home, I have turned it into easy scrapbook decorating.

I have matched it up with the new White Chalk Marker for some new effects and have also introduced a new Stampin' Up! colour which I haven't used yet, Smoky Slate.

What's great about the banner kit is there is so much in there than what I have used, that can be utilised for so many more pages.

Here is the layout I have come up with.

I've called it Mikaedy's 1st game as I am scrapping her first game of cricket.

Here is a close up of the first page. I've used the Chalk Marker to colour the heading and also rule lines around the edges of the black photo matts. I really like the chalky effect it gives the paper.

And lastly here is the Banner kit and also the Chalk Marker all the ladies will be receiving in their Scrap Club kits, along with papers to match.

Monster Hugs Scrapbook Layout

These cute Monsters are new by Stampin' Up! and come as a kit called 'Monster Hugs'. Take the tape off their tummy and stick a chocolate, lollypop or a cute stamped saying or heart on them and give them as a gift. Great for little ones to hand out on Valentine's Day.
OR they can also be used to make a gorgeous scrapbook page!
I have created two layouts using both the girl monster and the boy monster. I am going to save my scrapbook layout for our trip to Disneyland later in the year and scrap the kids with Monsters Inc! But there are numerous ways to title this layout: Monster Hugs!, Messy Monster, Monster Mash, Halloween, My Lil' Monster, Monster Mayhem. The list is endless.

I hope you like my creations.

The colours in this layout are Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantelope and Coastal Cabana.
Below is a close-up of the cute little monsters.

Below is a close up of the 2nd page. I've cut the legs off the monster and pasted it at the bottom of the photo matt to make him look like he is holding the photo.

Below is the layout done in boy colours. I've used Marina Mist, Night of Navy and Pear Pizazz.

Merry Christmas!

This year I made a Santa Sleigh layout as my Christmas gift to my lovely scrapping ladies. Here it is, using the Top Note die to make the sleigh out of Stampin' Up! glitter red paper. The stars are punched out of Stampin' Up! silver glitter paper and my new Chevron punch made a small debut as well.

Hope you like! And of course, Merry Christmas!

Afternoon Picnic Starburst

I've always wanted to make a Starburst on a scrapbook layout and the pretty papers in Stampin' Up's! Afternoon Picnic DSP suited it perfectly.

Here is the layout I have created and have used Chalk Talk framelits to add my sentiment 'I'm So Grateful There's You in the World'.

I have used Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizazz and Very Vanilla cardstock.

Scrap Club Round 3: Sanding, Distressing & Spritzing

Scrap Club Round 3 sees a stash of the new 2013-2015 In-Colour cardstock and DSP Stack. I have teamed it up with the Core-dinations 12 x 12 Cardstock, Stampin' Sanding System, Stampin' Distress Tool (all on page 157)  and a pack of two Stampin' Spritzers (pg 164).

Here is the layout I have made using the Scrap Club kit and the stamp set 'By The Tide'. The 12 x 12 Baked Brown Sugar Core'dinations card stock has been sanded to give it a distressed look. I have stamped the coral onto the Coastal Cabana cardstock, then spritzed it with Baked Brown Sugar to give it a watery look. The baked brown sugar photo matts have been distressed with the Stampin' Distress Tool.

Of course this doesn't need to be a water-themed layout and can be changed easily enough with a different stamp set, but with summer on it's way, Im sure there will be plenty of swimming, fishing and boating to be enjoyed.
Looking forward to sharing this with my Scrap Club ladies.

Honey Bee SWEET!

How cute is this little stamped honey bee? And then cut out with Stampin' Up's! new Hexagon punch. I tried to resist buying this punch, but soon found out I couldn't live without it.

I am going to run the title sideways on the 1st page, up beside the daffodil delight 5" x 7" matt, but this matt could also be turned around to become a landscape print and the heading run along the top.

I've also used the new In-Colour 'Baked Brown Sugar' for the 1st time on a layout, I think I might be using this a lot more in the future. :)

'I Am Me' Scrapbook Layout

I loved this paper the moment I saw it in the catalogue. I love the colours and the prints. Here is the layout I have put together using the camera print and the Filmstrip stamp.

Oh and I used Washi Tape for the first time! Yep, it's only a small addition, but it's so easy and adds a nice extra element to the page.
