Scrapping with Stampin' Up's! new Decorative Masks

Decorative Masks are so much fun to use, simple yet so effective. I've used the Star Mask to embellish my Pool Party cardstock. I've just used the Pool Party ink to dauber the stars and then I have also daubered the edges of the cardstock.

'Dear Santa' Scrapbook Layout

Im not normally one to do Christmas in July, but for my next workshop, we will be scrapping our Christmas photos. I have created this one to scrap Christmas morning photos, but it could be used to scrap a Santa photo or a school Christmas concert.

I love Santa falling down the chimney. This image has been created using punches and my husband's sketching ability for Santa's sack. There is lots of daubering to give the image shading and definition. It should be fun to create! Oh and not to forget the Envelope Board Punch to create our letter to Santa.

Another take on Modern Melody

Here is a layout I have created (or CASED I should say) using Stampin' Up's Modern Melody. I took inspiration for this layout from Krista's Crafty Corner (http://kristascraftycorner.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/for-always-workshop-on-go.html) who has done quite a few black and white layouts and just added a splash of colour to give it some vibrancy.
This layout is quite a jigsaw puzzle to put together, but I like the fact by changing a simple piece of cardstock to another colour, it can be used to suit whatever photos you have.

Merry Christmas!

This year I made a Santa Sleigh layout as my Christmas gift to my lovely scrapping ladies. Here it is, using the Top Note die to make the sleigh out of Stampin' Up! glitter red paper. The stars are punched out of Stampin' Up! silver glitter paper and my new Chevron punch made a small debut as well.

Hope you like! And of course, Merry Christmas!

Afternoon Picnic Starburst

I've always wanted to make a Starburst on a scrapbook layout and the pretty papers in Stampin' Up's! Afternoon Picnic DSP suited it perfectly.

Here is the layout I have created and have used Chalk Talk framelits to add my sentiment 'I'm So Grateful There's You in the World'.

I have used Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizazz and Very Vanilla cardstock.

Honey Bee SWEET!

How cute is this little stamped honey bee? And then cut out with Stampin' Up's! new Hexagon punch. I tried to resist buying this punch, but soon found out I couldn't live without it.

I am going to run the title sideways on the 1st page, up beside the daffodil delight 5" x 7" matt, but this matt could also be turned around to become a landscape print and the heading run along the top.

I've also used the new In-Colour 'Baked Brown Sugar' for the 1st time on a layout, I think I might be using this a lot more in the future. :)

Modern Melody Layout 2

This is my distressed layout, very different from the layout I posted yesterday, but using the same paper pack Modern Melody.

I love the crumpled distressed look and think it really suits a boy layout. What I really LOVE about this layout, is it is so easy to match it to your photos by just changing the background 12 x 12 colour. I have used Cherry Cobbler here, but any colour would be fine. Turn the newspaper print DSP over and it is a black background with a vanilla polka dot, making the layout even more versatile.

So, here finally, is Ben's 2012 Book Week photos scrapped. DONE!

Modern Melody Layout 1

So, I was a little chuffed I received a bundle from Stampin' Up!'s new catalogue this week and it has already led me to getting two layouts done. The goodies included the new DSP Modern Melody, Happy Day stamp set and some cute little Essential Hardware Clips.

My first layout is rather clean-cut and bold and the other very different, ripped and distressed, both using papers from Modern Melody. I've used similar colours, but using different techniques makes these pages so, so different.

I am going to post the first layout I made today, then will post the other tomorrow.

Oh, and I finally embossed! Wahooo!! Something I've been meaning to add to my scrapping for yonks!

Here is a close-up:

I've used the layout for my daughter's 6" x 8" physie photos, but as you can see on the top layout, the layout will allow lots of photos.

Soooo Much Scrapping!

I was inspired by Andrea Walford's Happy Birthday layout, I just love how simple the layout was, and loved how you could CRAM so many photos onto this page. And I have done it 3 times now, all in different papers and all with totally different themes!

Blueberry Crisp Workshop

Next fortnight, my Thursday night ladies are making this layout using Stampin' Up!s Blueberry Crisp patterned paper.

Sweet isnt it, with a title across the top to complete it. They will get to choose from any of the papers in Blueberry Crisp to match their theme.

Here are the choices, so it doesnt need to be flowery with butterflies, but could suit water, beach or bath photos... Hmmm I have some bath photos yet to be scrapped.

The colours are Pacific Point, Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla and Sahara Sand.

Workshop Layout, Thursday 24th May 2012

Hi ladies, here is the layout you have chosen for next fortnight's class.
It was inspired by a sketch by Becky Fleck.

I think I am going to scrapbook the picnic we had on Mother's Day, but really the layout is another one that is open to lots of different themes. Outdoors comes to mind first, a park, camping, outback holiday, or just use the colours to match your photos.

The colours are Stampin' Up's very own Soft Suede, Pear Pizazz, Very Vanilla and River Rock.

I have made room for three trimmed 6" x 4" and two photos trimmed to 3 1/2" x 2 1/4", but as you know, we can adjust to suit.

Looking forward to doing this layout with you.

Update 22 May: LOOK! I have actually got photos on mine. Yippee! Another page complete.
Just thought I'd post it ladies, to show you what I've done.

Monday's Workshop

I call this my Holly Hobby page. The colours remind me so much of Holly Hobby from when I was a little girl.

This is the layout we will be doing on Monday. There is a bit of free-hand drawing in it and lots of stippling, but it should be fun for something a little different.

I've used Spice Cake DSP, another pack I love!

Easter Layout

I 'finally' have the STAMPIN' UP! alphabet stamp set I have been eyeing off FOREVER. It is the 'Just Perfect Alphabet' and it is just that, just perfect! It fits in the new small oval punch, the pennant punch and the 3/4" circle punch and I am sure more.

I have used it to make an Easter heading using the small oval punch, so that the heading looks like little easter eggs. So cute and oh so CASED from Rachael (thanks Rach xo).

I have also used a Sizziz die from their 'Stuffed Animal' set to make the cute bunny.

And as I havent had a chance to print this years Easter photos yet, I have scrapped last years. lol. Well, that's another one to tick off the list.

Cheaper Than Therapy Submission # 18

For this layout I have gone with a Christmas theme. I have chosen Stampin' Up's! new Christmas DSP papers "Letters To Santa" and used the new Stockings Punch to create a border of stockings hanging from the mantle. So cute and this punch is so versatile, wait til I show you the hobby horse birthday card I have made with it as well (cased from Gemma Graham). This punch and the co-ordinating stamp set will be available to purchase in Stampin' Up's! Summer Mini Catalogue, being released on the 1st December 2011.
Anyway, back to this week's submission, here is a reminder of the layout:
And here is my layout, I turned it into a double page as 4 photos just don't cut it for Christmas day!
Hope you like it:

Ok, couldn't help but add my cute birthday card. I have used the stocking punch and the Christmas DSP, so this makes even the Chrissy paper just as versatile as the punch. I've just spotted another cute card using the punch, I might just have to have a play with that one too. (Have I made you realise how 'necessary' this punch is yet? lol)
Hobby Horse Birthday Card:
Don't forget to blog-hop over to Rachael
and Adele's blogs to see what they came up with this week for challenge # 18.

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge # 8

Here is this week's submission for Challenge # 8. I have used Stampin' Up's Love Letters DSP, along with Riding Hood Red and Basic Black cardstock. It will look great with black and white photos. The ladies are doing this layout in this Thursday's day workshop and next fortnight's night workshop. Their wedding and baby photos are going to look great on this layout. I have done the same layout in Pacific Point and Real Red with Celebrations DSP, which will look super cute with pre-school or kindy photos. I just love how different papers completely change the look and theme, yet it's still the exact same layout.
Blog hop over to Rachael and Adele's blog to see what they created this week!

Cheaper Than Therapy # 4 Submission

I thought I would struggle using Stampin' Up's Silhouette Sentiments stamp set on a scrapbook layout, but in the end, it was really easy. I must admit, I did take inspiration from a scrapbook pagemap from Becky Flek for this one, so that did help. Here it is:

Adele & Rach, what was your inspiration?

Thursday Workshop 28th July 2011

Hi ladies, here is the layout we will be creating at next Thursday's workshop. These photos were taken on Mother's Day 2011. I love this layout as there are so many ways you can use it.
