Cheaper Than Therapy # 5

This week we have decided on a monochromatic challenge, each of us using the different colours specified below. I am BLUE! I have never done anything like this before and I am currently feeling very limited.
Luckily we also have a sketch by Julie Bonner we are going to use as our inspiration:
We can do a scrapbook layout, or a card, or both! Hmmm... where to begin??? Can't wait to see what Rach (browns) & Adele (greens) come up with. Check back next Monday for the results!

Cheaper Than Therapy # 4 Submission

I thought I would struggle using Stampin' Up's Silhouette Sentiments stamp set on a scrapbook layout, but in the end, it was really easy. I must admit, I did take inspiration from a scrapbook pagemap from Becky Flek for this one, so that did help. Here it is:

Adele & Rach, what was your inspiration?

Thursday NIGHT Workshop 4th August

Here are photos of the ZOO layout we will be doing at my next Thursday night workshop. Another very versatile layout and great for events where you have lots & lots of photos. I will be using it again soon to make layouts of all the photos I took at my kiddies Athletics Carnival this year.

Thursday Workshop 28th July 2011

Hi ladies, here is the layout we will be creating at next Thursday's workshop. These photos were taken on Mother's Day 2011. I love this layout as there are so many ways you can use it.

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge No. 4

This week we have set a colour and stamp set challenge. We have chosen the following Stampin' Up colours:
For our stamp set we have chosen to use the Level 1 Hostess Set 'Silhouette Sentiments':

I would never have chosen this stamp set for a scrapbooking layout, as the images are quite small, so I cant wait to have a play and see what I can come up with. Be sure to come back next Monday to see what Adele and Rachael create!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge # 3 Submission!

Here is my submission for this week's challenge. I hope to use photos of my messy two painting at home when they were little tots, hence the title 'Messy Monsters'.  I've added Crumb Cake cardstock to the mix of colours, to allow the little fellas to show up a bit better. Be sure to have a look at Adele and Rachael's blogs to see what inspiration their monsters gave to them!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge # 3

This week we have stamped 12 monsters each from the Stampin’ Up! Make A Monster Stamp Set on the stripy and spotty papers of the Regals Paper Stack.

We used the colours Cherry Cobbler, Not Quite Navy and More Mustard.

The only specification now is to use them in a scrapbook layout! Can’t wait for next week to see how similar or different they are Rach and Adele!

Cheaper Than Therapy No. 2 Submission!

Well, I have to confess I just can't use Tempting Turquoise with the 'Playdate' papers. The turquoise in the papers is very subtle, so sorry gals, but I had to use Bashful Blue on the page, but I think it looks ok... I'm struggling with a heading, so it remains untitled. Other than that, with the papers I had, I'm really happy with the end result.
I can't wait to check out Adele and Rachael's submissions this week to see what they came up with!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge No. 2

So, I've made it to Challenge No. 2, stressed slightly, but we are here and on time... This week's challenge is a Scrapbook layout, scoped from Julie Bonner. With this layout we have chosen the Stampin' Up! DSP paperpack 'Playdate'. Rach had not used it and was struggling to know what to do with it, I had used all but 2 sheets in my pack and Adele, well Adele always has a spare pack or two LOL. So, with 2 full sheets left and I must make mention of a small strip of scrap, I wish myself luck! Come back next week and see what the girls and I can manage to come up with! lol.
Here are the colours in the 'Playdates' DSP pack.

Here is the layout design.

Good luck Rach and Adele!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge #1 Submission!

Well, here is my first challenge. I think it looks a lot nicer in real life, or maybe my photography needs some help... As I'm an avid scrapper, rather than a card maker, you're sure to see most of my challenges turn into scrap layouts. The challenge was to use Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Daffodil Delight with the Stampin' Up! stamp set 'A Slice of Life'. (I am waiting ever so patiently for my new buttons to arrive this week and I'll change my pale pink button to a Melon Mambo one!!) I hope you like it! Ive got some bday party plans for it!
Don't forget to check out what Rach and  Adele came up with this week!
