Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge # 10

This week we are doing a sketch/colour challenge from the clever girls at ‘The Colour Room’.  This gorgeous sketch by Lydell Quin and the soft feminine colours will make for some beautiful layouts I am sure.

Can’t wait to see our creations Adele and Rachael.
If you are interested in playing along but don’t want to do a scrap layout, Lydell also has a card sketch to match:

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge Submission # 9

For this weeks challenge, we had two Stampin' Up! colour combinations to choose from, using Tangarine Tango. Hubby decided on the colours because I just couldn't decide. Then he told me they were 'beachy' colours, so naturally I couldnt get that out of my head. I have turned the original layout sketch on it's side and I have also added a 2nd page to turn it into a double layout. I hope you like it. I think it is going to be so nice once it's finished with photos. I can also think of a couple of friends who have gorgeous photos from their trips to Malta who may just like this layout too. We might just have to change the Pacific Point background to Tempting Turquoise to match the awesome colours of the water over there.
Be sure to blog hop over to Adele and Rachael's blogs to see what awesome creations they have come up with.

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge # 8

Here is this week's submission for Challenge # 8. I have used Stampin' Up's Love Letters DSP, along with Riding Hood Red and Basic Black cardstock. It will look great with black and white photos. The ladies are doing this layout in this Thursday's day workshop and next fortnight's night workshop. Their wedding and baby photos are going to look great on this layout. I have done the same layout in Pacific Point and Real Red with Celebrations DSP, which will look super cute with pre-school or kindy photos. I just love how different papers completely change the look and theme, yet it's still the exact same layout.
Blog hop over to Rachael and Adele's blog to see what they created this week!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge Number 8

This week we are doing a straight sketch challenge, so there are no colour guides to restrict or confound us just a guide to the placement of elements and a sense of the overall effect of the creation.  We will be inspired by this sketch from Makeesha Byl –
Card or scrapbook layout? Hmmmmm...
Dont forget to check back here next week to see what I come up with and then blog hop over to Adele and
Rachael's blog to see their submission too.

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenges # 7 Submission

I am so enjoying these challenges. I love the fact they are making me do layouts that are so different to my usual. Here was the sketch we had to follow, along with the Stampin' Up! colours Real Red, Pacific Point, Pear Pizazz and Early Espresso:

Here is my submission:

Be sure to check out Adele and Rachael's # 7 submission.

Cheaper Than Therapy # 7

This week we have selected another colour combination to get the creative juices flowing. This is a combo that Stampin' Up recommend to their demonstrators and we have coupled the colours with a sketch - this time from Scrapbook etc Magazine in the US. We will be working with the colours Pear Pizzazz, Real Red, Early Expresso and Pacific Point.
Here is the sketch:
Again we have stipulated for the challenge that it be a scrapbook layout! These challenges are one sure way to get those photos prettified and scrapped away.
Can't wait to see what you come up with Rach and Adele

Cheaper Than Therapy # 6 Submission

I LOVE THIS LAYOUT!
I used the real red & white hibiscus print from Pink Flamingo DSP. A paper I have never used, so I was delighted with what I came up with. My Thursday workshop did this layout as well last week and the results were just beautiful. The hearts were from a template my Dad made me years ago when I first got into scrapping and it was another thing I hadnt used - gosh what was I thinking! I even brayered one of the hearts in old olive, another technique Ive only just started using.  Adele and Rach, what did you create this week?

The sketch we will use is a PageMap from the very creative Becky Fleck:

Good luck Adele & Rach!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge 5 Submission!

Can't believe how much I enjoyed doing this layout. Much easier than I thought and LOOK I even did it in a double layout! How did you get on Adele & Rach with your 'green' and 'brown' monochromatic challenges?
The colours I used were Stampin' Up!s Bashful Blue and Pacifc Point. I also used DSP spotty paper from the Celebrations pack and the Pacific Point Stripes from the Brights Paper Stack.
