Title Pages Workshop

This week my Thursday 'Day' girls are choosing 2 title pages to do for their albums.
Here are 3 they can choose from this week:

Although I have titled this with a year, it could also be for a title page for a  girl's album or the words 'Family' rather than the year.

Here is the boy's title page:

And now for the girl's title page, or again this could be a year or family album:

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge # 26

Ohhhhhh another palette from The Color Room. It's such a nice combo of colours and it will allow me to use one of Stampin' Ups! new In-Color's 'Island Indigo' for the first time.

Here is the palette:

Here is the sketch:

I'm off to get started!

Cheaper Than Therapy Submission # 25

Hooray! I have used this challenge to get another page scrapped.

I had a stack of photos, lots grainy & unfocused, of my son receiving the Sports Award and the Academic Award last year at the end of year Presentation. The Presentation was inside and my camera just took some shockers! but it was such a great moment and a surprise on the day for him to receive the Sports Award, that I just had to scrap it for his album.

Here is a reminder of the sketch and colours:

Here is my layout:

How did you get on this week Adele and Rach?

Last Night!

I had such a great night last night, meeting my newly 'addicted' scrappers and sharing our first layout together.
Here is what we are doing at our 2nd workshop, I have done this layout before with my Stamp Club ladies. It is such a cute page for a Newborn or a Baby Shower or Baby Bump page, that the ladies have chosen it for next fortnight. Time to bring out the inks and introduce them to stamping and daubering!!!
Here is the layout done with girly colours:

And here it is done with blues:

Can't wait to do it all again ladies!

Thursday 'DAY' Workshop 29th March 2012

We really need to come up with names for each of my Workshop classes. My 'Day Girls' and 'Night Girls' just arent working now that there are two Thursday 'Night' workshops. Any suggestions anyone?

Anyway, (here we go again)... my Thursday 'Day Girls' have decided to do their 1st day of School photos. Here is the layout with room for either a 5"x7" photo plus two 6"x4" photos, or maybe four 6"x4" photos. I will let them be the judge of that.

Scrapbook Workshop 29th March 2012

Hi ladies, here is the layout you have chosen for this workshop. It's so bright! but I love it.
The first page will take either two 6 x 4 portrait photos or one 5 x 7 landscape photo. The 2nd page is really open to interpretation as to how many photos you put on there. I am scrapping my kids making Gingerbread men and have just 3 photos I will be putting on.

Give me a shout if you have any queries and don't forget to let me know how many layouts you want to do.
Can't wait.

Thanks Adele for finding another great challenge for us this week!
Be sure to check back on Monday to see what we come up with.

Cheaper Than Therapy Submission # 24

I love this Becky Fleck sketch and also love the conditions of the Challenge 'using papers & embellishments that make you happy''. I couldnt help but use the Big Top DSP. I have always loved the Stampin' Up! Brights papers, so it made it very easy to pick these colours.
Here is a reminder of the layout:

And here is my layout. I am going to scrap the photos of my two kiddies decorating a big batch of Gingerbread men we made last year. They had lots of fun and had Gingerbread men for morning tea for nearly a week! I think they were also a hit amongst their friends.

Be sure to pop over & check out Adele and Rachael's layout for this week's challenge.
Have a great week.

Scrap Layout for 'NEW' class starting 22nd March

Here is the layout we are doing for my new class starting Thursday night 22nd March. It's a great layout to start and will suit either a boy or girl page.
All you need to bring is four 6 x 4 photos, they can be portrait or landscape or a mixture of both.
A birthday theme is what I have based the layout on, but I am going to scrap my two kids having a great time at The Entrance last Summer. I love how bright these papers are.
I have included photos of the layout below. Please email me on mareesammut7875@gmail.com if you have any questions.
I look forward to scrapping with you all.

Below: Layout shown with 4 landscape photos

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge # 24

We are just addicted to Becky Fleck's layouts! This week's challenge is another one of hers, but the stipulation is to use some of the stash of Stampin' Up's! papers, colours & embellishments we have that makes us happy.
Can't wait to see what Adele and Rachael decide is their 'happy' paper!!
Here is the sketch:

Cheaper Than Therapy Submission # 23

Here is a reminder of this week's challenge, black cardstock with purple hues (or maybe even pink???)

I couldn't help but use the opportunity to scrap the McGrath Foundation Pink Stumps Day, a charity day put on by Warnervale Cricket Club in February this year. My wonderful girlfriends Ann-Marie & Emily joined me on this day and we had a great time supporting this fantastic cause.

So of course, I had to use Melon Mambo and Pretty In Pink cardstock to scrap this page. I also used Flirtatious DSP to make my butterflies and embellishments.

Be sure to check out Adele and Rachael's blogs to see what they came up with too.

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge # 23

This week we are using another great sketch from the talented Color Room team......with a colour palette of Basic Black and shades of Pale Pink/Plum/Razzleberry or even Mambo....that could be part of the challenge....what shades of Pink or Purple do YOU see in this Palette???
Here is a close-up of the sketch:

Have fun creating! Be sure to come back next week to see what Rach, Adele & I came up with.

CTTC # 22 with Photos

Before I uploaded next week's challenge, I thought I'd actually show that YES, I have put photos on last week's challenge. Yippee! And yep, there's that one of me skipping with my Mum & Dad turning the rope for me. hehe. Good times!

Off to sort out next week's challenge!

Cheaper Than Therapy Submission # 22

Here is a reminder of last week's challenge. It was a gorgeous Becky Fleck sketch, which we were to co-ordinate, using the 2012 Sale-A-Bration DSP papers.

I have turned it into a double-page layout and have some great photos in mind of the kids learning to skip on a HUGE skipping rope at Nan and Pop's house.
(There might even be one of me in there too ;-) ).

Be sure to blog hop across to Adele and Rachael's websites to see what they came up with.
Tomorrow I will be posting Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge # 23, so come back to check that out, so you can create along too.

Scrapbooking Workshop 15th March 2012

Next fortnight's workshop is based on a page I created for some photos I took of my two kiddies potting some plants at Nan's house over the Summer School Holidays.
The colours in the layout are: Wild Wasabi, So Saffron and Poppy Parade.
The class has already got some great ideas for scrapping these photos. I am looking forward to seeing how they all come together.
