Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge # 22

This week we will use the new paper in the 2012 Sale-A-Bration catalogue, Everyday Enchantments, and apply them to this great sketch layout by Becky Fleck:-

I love these papers and so far have made lots of scrumming layouts. I am really looking forward to following this sketch to see what I can come up with.
Have fun with this one! Remember to check back next Monday for our submissions.

Have a great week.

Cheaper Than Therapy Submission # 21

Well I think I got a little carried away and a little away from the actual sketch, but that's ok, I got a page done and that is definately a good thing!

Here is a reminder of the sketch:

And here is my layout:

I took photos of the kids artwork that came home at the end of the year. I'm sure other people find themselves in the same boat as me, the kids want to keep EVERYTHING, but 13 years of schooling artwork just cant be kept. Sorry kids. I am sure they will appreciate the 'photos' of their artwork in their scrapbooks one day.
Be sure to check out Adele and Rach's submission for this week too! I wonder if they kept to the original sketch a little better than I did this time...

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge # 21

Welcome back Challenges!
I have enjoyed the break, but I'm loving the fact Adele has organised us to get back into it again this year.
Here is what this week's challenge brings us:
It is a Palette & Sketch, # 51, from the girls at The Colour Room.

Here is a close-up of the sketch:

Have fun Rach and Adele with this challenge.
For those wishing to join in from home - we will allow colour substitutions if absolutely necessary (for your own sanity, forget any silly rules we have for each other, lol!) Swap Tangerine for Peach Parfait or Calypso Coral, Swap Regal Rose for Blushing Bride or Melon Mambo.
Adele, Rach and I will stick to the original choices because we are crazy - no, not really - because the original challenge document stands as is! (so Adele says anyway!!!)
Check back on Monday for our submissions.

Look at what we have been up to!

Here is a layout my friend and Stampin' Up! upline Georgina Martin created for a workshop one night recently using the new Sale-A-Bration DSP and First Edition DSP.
I really love it but wasnt sure what photos I would have to put on it.

Today, my Thursday ladies did this layout in our workshop and below is what they scrapped (and yes, I found some photos which needed scrapping too and got a layout finished! Yippee!!)

Adele's Layout (who would have thought Christmas! but I love it!):

Jen's Layout:

Cathi's Layout:

Martine's Layout:

and my Layout:

Love them all girls! Well done.

Stamp Club # 5, 1st March 2012

Here is the layout we will be making for our very last Stamp Club in this round.
I have used the Sale-A-Bration papers, which everyone will be receiving half a pack for FREE. I just LOVE the Sale-A-Bration time of year.
The colours in this layout include: Soft Suede, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Crumb Cake and I have used the matching stamp set in the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue, Fresh Vintage, & 2011-12 In-Colour markers to create a cute scalloped embellishment.  Girls, the layout can take more than the 4 photos shown, my photo mountings are purely there to give you an idea.
Can't wait to share Stamp Club # 5 goodies with you all!

Wedding Layout

I have had a couple of requests for a wedding layout, so when I came across a card made by Kirsty Brown (http://www.kirstyscardnscrap.wordpress.com/), I had to CASE it and turn it into a scrapbook layout. I have a little hole, which I just cant decide what to fill it with (maybe some journelling), but thought I'd share it anyhow.

Here is a close up of the detail (and oh yes, the hole!).

I havent looked at my wedding photos since we received them back from the photographer, 12 years ago. WOW! It was a little emotional.

Anyway, I have another layout I want to do with a pretty little wedding dress in it. Hope it doesnt take me 12 years to complete that one.

Scrap Workshop: Thursday 16th Feb 2012

Here is the layout my ladies will be doing on the 16th Feb, using my current favourite Designer Series Paper 'Spice Cake'. I have scrapped pics of my family outing to Somersby Falls on the NSW Central Coast. The colours used include Stampin' Ups! Very Vanilla, Pear Pizazz, River Rock and Soft Suede.
